Jury panel for three categories of 2019 Fajr Film Festival has been unveiled with female director Ida Panahandeh included.
A panel of five cineastes will judge works in the New Look, Documentary and Short Film sections of the fest to be held January 30-February 11 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
Alongside international acclaimed director Panahandeh, the other names include Hamid Afarideh, Habib Ahmadzadeh, Saeed Soheili and Maziar Miri.
The jurors will pass their judgments on 10 works in New Look, 5 in Documentary and 4 in Short Film sections of 2019 Fajr Film Festival.
Panahandeh’s award-wining movies, including ‘Israfil’, have screened at international film festivals winding up with award recognition.
The director’s impressive title ‘Nahid’ was hailed as Iran’s only representative at the Un Certain Regard sideline of the 68th Cannes International Film Festival, winning a prize for debut films.
